CripAdvisor started with one simple question: why is it still so hard to find decent, accessible places to eat in Paris?
We were fed up with wasting time sifting through vague, often useless access info — only to turn up and find a step, a steep slope, or a toilet you’d need ropes and a prayer to reach. So we built what we couldn’t find: a guide to places that are both genuinely good and actually accessible.
CripAdvisor is a non-profit created by Katy (wheelchair user), Steven (Product Designer), and Christopher (UX researcher). After years of eating, living, and rolling around Paris — and running into access barriers far too often — we set out to build something better. We’ve designed CripAdvisor to be as user-friendly as possible, because access should be easy, not exhausting.
