Lively riverside vegetarian spot with great food, workable access, and genuinely helpful staff.
A big, lively spot right on the Seine, Maslow leans fully into the energy of its location. With a wide terrace with a riverside view and a constant buzz inside, it feels like the kind of place people settle into for a while rather than rush through. It is busy, often very busy, but the all-day service takes the pressure off and makes timing a bit more forgiving.
The food is confident and genuinely good. Everything is vegetarian, with plenty of vegan-friendly options, built around a mix of sharing plates and a few larger dishes. The portobello katsu (11€) is a standout, rich, crisp, and deeply satisfying, while the sweet potato mafé with crispy rice (8#) is equally delicious. The menu feels generous and carefully put together, aimed at pleasing a broad crowd rather than just the converted.
Access is not perfect on paper, but works well in practice. There is a step at the entrance, with a removable ramp that staff bring out when needed. The door is wide enough at 90cm+, and although it can get slightly cluttered with service carts, the team are quick to clear the way without fuss. What could feel like a barrier ends up being quite smooth thanks to how aware and responsive the staff are.
Inside, the space is energetic and can get crowded, but there is generally enough room to move around. You do need to stay aware of the flow, especially during peak times, as staff and guests are constantly circulating. Still, it never felt blocked or unmanageable during our visit.
The toilet is properly accessible and generously sized, with enough room to manoeuvre and transfer. The only minor downsides were a slightly heavy door and a soap dispenser that is a little too high.
What stands out most at Maslow is the team. They are present, aware, and quick to act, which makes a tangible difference in a space like this. Combined with the quality of the food and the setting by the river, it creates an experience that feels easy and welcoming, even if the physical setup is not entirely seamless.
Maslow is a strong choice if you are looking for a lively, well-located restaurant with genuinely good vegetarian food and a team that makes the access work.
